Designing an effective training programme starts with understanding what you are trying to achieve. This session explores the difference between learning and development initiatives and why the distinction matters when planning a programme.

You’ll also learn the different process flows involved and how to use them to design more precise, relevant and purposeful training and development programmes.

A well-designed training module is more than just a collection of information. This session explores the essential design principles for structuring your content and creating a clear, logical flow that supports effective learning.

Learn how to sequence your content with purpose, so your training activities and materials work together to achieve the desired learning outcomes.

Topic 3: Module Learning Activities

Effective training goes beyond delivering content. This session explores how to design meaningful learning activities that encourage participation, practice, and application throughout your training module.

Explore how to select and structure game-based and non-game activities that support different levels of learning and help participants achieve the intended learning outcomes.

Topic 4: Assessment & Training Evaluation

Effective assessment helps trainers understand whether learning has taken place and whether training has achieved its intended outcomes. This session explores the key principles of assessment and training evaluation.

Learn how to align assessment and evaluation methods with your learning outcomes, audience needs, and training objectives to generate meaningful insights for improvement.

Training materials play an important role in helping participants understand, practise, and apply what they learn. This session explores how different materials can support your training methods, modalities, and learning approaches.

Learn how to select and develop appropriate training materials that complement your content, strengthen learning activities, and support the achievement of your training outcomes.

The same training content may not work equally well for every audience. This session explores how audience characteristics, learning levels, and training outcomes influence the way content should be designed and delivered.
